Job summary

SpartanNash in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Bakery Associate to support daily production, packaging, labeling and stocking of bakery items. You will work independently and with a team to meet store guidelines for guest experience and food safety.

You will prepare products per program, rotate stock, and assist the Bakery Manager with ordering and merchandising while following PPE and safety protocols in a friendly, fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate with weights and measures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery products according to program plan.
• Package and label bakery items per program plan.
• Stock backroom with Bakery products; rotate and date cases.
• Notify Bakery Manager for orders and supplies.
• Follow PPE, safety and food safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with other departments to support store goals.
