85°C Bakery Cafe is looking for entry-level bakers in Arrowhead Ranch, Glendale, AZ. Roles include bread baking, cake decorating, and product separation, with focus on food safety and quality. weekend availability preferred, 20 hours+ part-time or 32+ hours full-time options available, starting at $15.50–$16.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Produce and prepare high-quality bakery products following company recipes and quality standards.
• Decorate cakes with precision and maintain presentation consistency (Cake Decorator).
• Separate, organize, package, and prepare finished products for distribution and sale (Separator).
• Monitor product quality throughout production and maintain clean, sanitary work areas.
• Operate and maintain bakery equipment following safety guidelines.
• Meet daily production schedules and support other departments as needed.
• Assist with inventory rotation and quality control.
• Collaborate with store leadership and teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your assigned position, you will be responsible for producing and preparing high-quality bakery products while maintaining our commitment to food safety, consistency, and exceptional quality.

• Prepare, bake, decorate, assemble, or separate bakery products according to job role, company recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
• Measure, mix, prepare, and finish products while following established production procedures.
• Decorate cakes with precision while maintaining presentation and consistency standards (Cake Decorator).
• Separate, organize, package, and prepare finished bakery products for distribution and sale (Separator).
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, Health Department, and company regulations.
• Properly operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.
• Assist with inventory rotation and quality control.
• Cross-train and support other bakery or storefront departments as business needs require.
• Work collaboratively with store leadership and fellow associates.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous bakery, cake decorating, food production, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred.
• Passion for creating high-quality bakery products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to speak and understand conversational English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification (where required).
• Availability to work at least 20 hours per week for part time employees, 32 hours per for full time employees.
• Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements while preparing bakery products.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and lifting.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Working around hot ovens, bakery equipment, and temperature-controlled environments, including coolers and freezers.

This position requires moderate physical activity.
