Job summary

SpartanNash in Petoskey, MI is seeking a Bakery Associate to prepare, fry, package, display, and stock Bakery products, contributing to the store's financial best interest while adhering to safety and food safety guidelines.

You will work with team members, follow merchandising plans, operate basic math tasks, and communicate weights, recipes, and cleaning steps. High school diploma preferred; one year of retail experience helps.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery products per plan.
• Package and label Bakery products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery products, rotate and date cases/buckets.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Work with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Understand basic arithmetic for inventory tasks.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and cleaning steps clearly.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Adhere to guest experience guidelines.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to work independently to prepare food, fry, package, display, and stock Bakery products; to ensure that you contribute to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, as well as complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and Produce Bakery Products to Production Planner
• Package and Label Bakery Products per program plan
• Merchandise Bakery Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations
• Stock Backroom with Bakery Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other Associates
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
