Job summary

Aramark in Dallas is seeking a friendly baker to join our Food Services Team. You will follow recipes, prepare ingredients, operate ovens and mixers, and maintain clean, safe work areas to deliver quality baked goods for guests and clients.

The ideal candidate has prior baking experience or related work, understands food safety requirements, and can work as part of a team while providing excellent service. This full-time position offers hands-on training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous baking experience or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates ovens, stoves, and mixers.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains positive service to guests and clients.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
