Alongside delivering outstanding guest service, you will assist in creating beautiful and delicious baked goods for our guests, contributing to memorable celebrations. Key responsibilities include producing high-quality bakery products to meet customer expectations and building loyalty through excellent service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn all facets of the Bakery Department, including Clerk and Cake Decorator functions. It is ideal for someone with minimal or no retail decorating experience who is eager to support a team, grow into leadership, and inspire others. Creativity in cuisine, a passion for food trends, and a desire to connect with people are essential. Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in Bakery or related industry
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to established scratch procedures when necessary.
• Prepare and shape products according to recipes and specifications.
• Bake products with proper timing and temperature as per recipes.
• Handle proofing processes, including inserting products into proof boxes and setting controls.
• Prepare and fry donuts following established procedures.
• Manage product storage by using freezers and coolers appropriately to maintain freshness.
• Implement suggestive selling techniques and offer samples to customers when appropriate.
• Prioritize safety in all tasks for team members, guests, and products.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, assisting with product location, answering questions, and making suggestions.
• Handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and storage to meet sanitation standards.
• Bake and display products, ensuring proper rotation and freshness.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and housekeeping standards.
• Accurately record special orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Understand ingredients and their purposes in scratch baked goods.
• Prepare baking ingredients and assemble recipes for baking.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and maintaining bakery backroom efficiency.
• Support other areas of the bakery as needed.
