A little about our position....
Come join our team as a PT Baker in our gourmet Bakery here at Uncle Giuseppe's Store located in Morris Plains, NJ. Our Bakers design, execute, and improve recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation, and process customer orders.

Responsibilities

1. Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.
2. Decorating and displaying finished products.
3. Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
4. Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service.
5. Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
6. Taking client information and ensuring that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.
7. Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
8. Other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Formal training as a baker, trade school, bakery program is desired.
3. Must have a minimum of 3 years of baking experience, with in-depth knowledge of baking cakes, breads, pastries, and all other bakery products.
4. Must have strong communication, time management, and resource management skills.
5. A strong sense of attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
6. Ability to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.
7. Must be able to speak, read, and communicate in the English language.
8. Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability.
