Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by producing, stocking, and packaging high-quality baked items in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Bakery Manager.

Status: This is a non-exempt position.

Knowledge

The following are certification, education, or training requirements:

• A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.

Preferred but not required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

The basic skill requirements for this position include:

• Implementing Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Merchandising cases to ensure fullness, freshness, and attractiveness of displays.
• Meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
• Efficiently baking all items as requested.
• Knowing store items, procedures, and policies to assist customers effectively.
• Rotating fresh products to prevent stale or outdated items.
• Restocking ingredients daily and notifying management for reordering.
• Unloading and stocking incoming shipments properly.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Complying with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment safely.
• Demonstrating strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Using basic math and reading skills required for the role.

Non-Essential Job Functions
