Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for a full-time BAKER position.
• Location: Amgen - 1 Amgen Center Drive, Newbury Park, CA 91320. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: 1 year of previous baking experience in a food service or hospitality setting is required.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as necessary, assisting in production planning.
• Ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and standards.
• Complete production records, track waste, and inform supervisors of low supplies.
• Ensure proper presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment and work area.
• Handle food items safely, adhering to safety regulations.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly after use.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints courteously, relaying concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain composure during peak production and service times.
• Ensure food presentation and display standards are met.
• Follow sanitation and safety principles, complying with OSHA standards.
• Complete assigned shift work timely and thoroughly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
