Position Summary

We are hiring immediately for full‑time BAKER positions at Thomas Hospital, 750 Morphy Avenue, Fairhope, AL 36532. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full‑time; open availability is preferred. Days and hours may vary. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirement: Previous food service and/or baking experience required. Pay Range: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and proper equipment.
• Assist with completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments; keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer‑service oriented manner; relay relevant concerns to supervisors.
• Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed.
• Complete shift work as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
