Job Details

Baker (Full‑time). Location: Boise State, 1910 W University Drive, Boise, ID 83725. Pay: $25.00 per hour. Schedule: Full‑time shifts are event based; details discussed during interview.

Required Experience

Must have prior baker experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as required by production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily demands.
  • Prepare food using approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and equipment use.
  • Maintain production records, including waste tracking and portion control; notify supervisor when supplies are low.
  • Ensure proper presentation, food quality, and serving temperature, and maintain equipment, supplies, and utensils in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Manage food items according to safety regulations during preparation and service.
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly before leaving the area; keep display equipment debris‑free.
  • Interact with customers, resolve complaints in a friendly, customer‑service oriented manner, and relay concerns to supervisors.
  • Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Check that all food is presented, served, and displayed per standards; follow sanitation and safety principles, ensuring compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Complete shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner per department standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Important Information

Because this position requires you to work in an educational facility, periods when food service needs decline (e.g., winter and summer breaks) may result in unpaid or temporary layoff periods. Work may be required year‑round, possibly at different locations during break periods.
