Job summary

ACME Markets, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Associate in Denville, NJ to prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts following established recipes and methods. You will measure, mix, shape, and bake items, decorate cakes, and ensure quality and presentation.

You will also keep the workspace clean and safe, rotate ingredients, and assist customers with questions and special orders, contributing to a fast-paced but collaborative bakery team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and production methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products.
• Decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients.
• Assist customers with product questions and take special orders.
• Support bakery team to plan daily production needs and keep operations running smoothly.
