Position Objective

To assist customers in their shopping experience by producing, stocking, and packaging high-quality baked items in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Bakery Manager.

Status

This is a non-exempt position.

Knowledge

Certifications, formal education, or training requirements include:

• A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training as listed on the Cosentino's Learning Plan.

Skills

Basic skills required for this position include:

• Implementing Cosentino's Customer Service Standards.
• Merchandising cases to ensure fullness, freshness, and attractiveness.
• Meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
• Baking all bakery items efficiently as directed by the Bakery Manager.
• Providing accurate and courteous customer service.
• Rotating and restocking bakery products to prevent spoilage.
• Unloading and stocking incoming shipments carefully.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment safely.
• Exhibiting strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Having basic math and reading skills.

Physical Abilities

Physical movements include:

• Reaching overhead, twisting, lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling items up to 20 lbs.
• Standing and walking for long periods.
• Occasionally lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Bending and squatting to floor level.
• Working in cooler conditions.

Additional Information

Climbing a ladder up to 5 ft may be required.
