Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Cafeteria Manager, perform skilled tasks in preparing and serving bakery and food items in a school cafeteria. Assist in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and orderly environment in compliance with USDA guidelines.

Essential Functions

• Prepare baked and food items from scratch in a timely manner.
• Review recipes, estimate ingredients, and manage production and waste.
• Control portion sizes and ensure proper baking temperatures and sanitation.
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist with serving, cleaning, inventory, and restocking.
• Train staff and gather customer feedback to improve offerings.
• Participate in professional development and sustainable practices.

Qualifications

Physical & Other Requirements
