Job summary

Sam's Club in Tomball, TX is opening a brand-new bakery and is seeking a Baker and Packager Associate to help launch the club’s fresh bakery experience. You will bake according to recipes, wrap and label products, and support high-volume production with strong member service.

As part of the founding Tomball team, you will help establish the culture, ensure freshness, and uphold food safety while delivering an exceptional member experience from day one.

Position Summary

Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through follow recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially since they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

What You'll Do

• Wrap, label, and store merchandise to maintain freshness, food safety, and Cold Chain compliance
• Ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise
• Use hand-held technology to support production planning, inventory, and ordering decisions
• Assist members with bakery orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service across the club as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work areas and displays
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize baking equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with associates to keep the bakery running smoothly and be flexible to support other areas as needed

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*

• The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
