Sam's Club Baytown is opening a brand-new bakery, and we are seeking a dedicated Baker and Packager Associate to help bring fresh breads and pastries to life from day one. You’ll be part of the founding team at the Baytown club, shaping the member experience from the ground up.

As a Baker and Packager, you will follow recipes, wrap and label merchandise, maintain freshness and food safety, and support a high-volume bakery while delivering a great member experience in a busy club environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery merchandise based on production needs, following recipes and company standards.
• Wrap, label, and store merchandise to maintain freshness and food safety.
• Ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; manage fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
• Use hand-held technology to support production planning, inventory, and ordering decisions.
• Assist members with bakery orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service across the club as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work areas and displays.
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize baking equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with associates to keep the bakery running smoothly and be flexible to support other areas as needed.

Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through follow recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially since they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

Hourly wage range

$17.00 to $25.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
