Position Summary

Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and organizing? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available for take‑home. You will juggle several tasks quickly while helping members with their bakery orders. What You’ll Do

• Be a Team Member: collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with team members; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
• Be an Expert: prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes/make‑up instructions; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner: ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures; ensure quality and date‑control standards for bakery items; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies and procedures.

Additional Information

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour, with the actual hourly rate equal to or exceeding the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances.
