Baker - $19.00/hr to $25.00/hr

Join Vallarta Supermarkets as a Baker and earn between $19.00/hr and $25.00/hr.

Wage

$19.00-$25.00 per hour

Description

California Minimum Wage is $16.50/hr effective 1/1/2025. Some cities, like LA, have higher minimum wages (e.g., $17.28/hr).

Job Duties

• Greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Inspect machinery at the start of each day and report repairs to the Bakery Manager.
• Prepare breads, pastries, etc.
• Ensure baked goods are cooked at proper temperatures and times.
• Clean machinery at the end of each day.
• Perform all other assigned duties.

Job Requirements

• Obey all health and safety regulations.
• Operate machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and rollers.
• Wear proper uniform: white collared shirt, black tie or Vallarta polo, white pants, black non-slip shoes, hat, hairnet.
• Work in temperatures ranging from [specify if available].
• Wash hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.

Physical Requirements

• Lift boxes/products weighing 5 to 60 lbs.
• Push/pull items up to 350 lbs on carts or dollies.
• Bend, stoop, reach, grasp, and perform cleaning tasks.
