Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market in South Portland, ME is seeking a friendly Baker to join our bakery team. You will bake breads, cookies, pastries, and decorate cakes, using ovens, mixers, slicers, and proofers to meet quality and safety standards while delivering great customer service.

You will help keep display cases stocked and clean, support fellow associates, and take pride in accurate portioning, fresh products, and timely service.

As a Baker, no one day is ever the same. To truly be successful in the position, you will be passionate about baking breads, cookies, and pastries, as well as producing fancy desserts and decorating cakes. Our Bakers also have the secret ingredient for talking to their customers and take pride in what they are baking, making, and decorating. You will work with ovens, mixers, slicers, and proofers to bake products that meet the highest quality, freshness, and safety standards. When you aren’t rising to the occasion for our customers, you’re helping ensure our display cases and shelves are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
