Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
• Provide high-level customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, maintaining cleanliness of the bakery area
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery environment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; monitor product rotation and discard outdated items
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience preferred
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, good communication skills
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other bakery equipment safely
• Stand for up to 8 hours; able to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards; obtain Food Handlers permit

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $15.70 - $20.40/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
