Job summary

Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City is seeking a dependable Baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked items for residents. You will follow recipes, production schedules, and ensure quality while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and adhering to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a commercial bakery, strong baking knowledge, and a focus on presentation and food safety. This is a part-time opportunity with a collaborative dining team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a commercial or institutional bakery or kitchen.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, food preparation, and proper food storage practices.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, instructions, and safety procedures in English.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and presentation.
• Dependability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items according to recipes and production schedules.
• Measure, mix, shape, and decorate dough and batter to ensure quality and consistency.
• Monitor baking times and temperatures and safely operate baking equipment.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items to maintain freshness and food safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and facility procedures.
• Collaborate with the Dining Services team to support daily kitchen operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
