Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $25.00/hr

The Lunchroom is seeking a full-time or part-time Baker to join our team at Plaza del Lago in Wilmette. This role involves mornings and days to prepare baked goods for our café menu, grab-and-go cases, and catering. We value all team members’ contributions in our small team.

Located inside SPACE 519 in the Gold Coast, The Lunchroom is a 40-seat breakfast, lunch, and brunch restaurant, recognized by The New York Times, Chicago Magazine, and Modern Luxury. This concept will be replicated at our new location at Plaza del Lago.

The Baker will be responsible for baking scones, muffins, cookies, tarts, cakes, quiches, and other baked goods, excluding laminated dough. The ideal candidate will be organized, precise, and committed to consistency and quality, capable of following recipes and developing new ones. Working in an open kitchen environment requires professionalism and a polished appearance to serve our upscale clientele.
