Job summary

Bass Pro Shops at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, MO is seeking a skilled baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes and sauces for resort outlets. You will follow recipes, master cake decorating techniques and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen workflow.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a high-volume environment and assist in training junior cooks while upholding food safety standards. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have solid bakery background in breads, pastries, cakes and sauces.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to train and work well with a team in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

Possess a solid background in breads, pastries, cakes and sauces with the knowledge of cake decorating techniques including wedding cakes.2. Handle knives excellently and operate all kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient and effective manner.3. Be able to work with others well in a close environment with a learning attitude possessing speed and efficiency.4. Be able to assume control of the kitchen in the absence of a Sous Chef.5. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.6. Follow the kitchen chain of command (i.e. Chefs, Cook I, Cook II, Cook III).7. Take an active role in the training of new cooks.8. Duties will range from creative to redundant with large volume baking on a daily basis.9.
