Bastion Hospitality LLC is seeking a Bread Baker to join our bakery team. You will assist in producing our bread program and seasonal specials across restaurant and bakery settings.

You will manage bread production, execute recipes, handle equipment, and ensure quality standards daily. This full-time role requires strong baking skills, clear English communication, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ professional cooking experience in a restaurant or similar setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to work in limited space and reach other areas in a timely manner.
• Prolonged standing and ability to lift up to 30 pounds; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Bread Baker to join our exceptional team of service leaders. This role will assist in the production of a dynamic bread program for the restaurants and bakery including seasonal specials.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversees assigned areas of bread and pastry production.
• Execute recipes, maintain kitchen equipment, and always be on time
• Use working knowledge of basic baking techniques; scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, finishing, etc.
• Responsible for mixing, shaping, baking dough; cleaning machinery; preparing ingredients; and packaging final product.
• As a member of the bakery team, ensure stated direction and guidance in quality standards are achieved daily.
• Ensure restocking the bakery is performed accordingly and storage areas are properly organized.

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience professional cooking experience in restaurant or establishment of similar caliber.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to exert well‑paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the restaurant in a timely basis.
• Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
