Sycuan is seeking a bakery professional to create and serve baked goods, following recipes and production sheets. The role ensures efficient bakery operations, proper food handling, and coordination between shifts so guests receive fresh items.

You will assist in catering events, both on-site and off-site, with dessert trays and setup/breakdown. Strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and timely delivery of quality products.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with baked goods by following recipes and production sheets.
• Maintain efficient operation of the Bakery area and communicate between shifts.

Job Purpose

Creates bakery items for guest consumption

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

• Provides guests with baked goodsby following recipes according to established standards and as projected on menus or catering request, preparing food product according to production sheets, measuring, mixing, baking and decorating baked goods, portioning and delivering baked goods, ensuring all baked goods are replenished as needed, and storing product according to established procedures.
• Maintains efficient operation of the Bakery areabyfollowing food production sheets and recipes, regulating food product utilization, checking food products for temperature and freshness, rotating food items as needed and communicating standard to the bakery personnel, assistingother bakers as needed, and communicating relevant information between shifts.
• Maintains safe and sanitary areaby checking food products for appropriate temperature and freshness, replenishing and rotating food items as necessary, following correct food cooling and storage procedures, and cleaning and organizing work according to established procedures.
• Assists in caterings on both on and off-site eventsbycreating dessert trays as needed,assisting in the set-up,execution and break down of events.

Education and Experience

Essential

• County of San Diego Food Handler Card

• 1-year baking experience in a high-volume restaurant

Desirable:

• High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.
• Guest Service or Hospitality experience
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
