ProAmpac is seeking a Converting Assistant for the Bags Department to support material inspection, bag packaging, and quality testing on a rotating schedule. This role involves assisting in machine changeovers, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring label accuracy.

Candidates with a high school diploma and basic mechanical skills will thrive. A strong team player attitude and attention to detail are essential for success in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience with converting or robot equipment a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials to ensure quality.
• Package and label finished bags/gaylords per requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues with materials or equipment.
• Assist in machine changeovers for different production runs.
• Perform quality inspections and testing on finished bags (drop testing, seal integrity, dimensional checks).
• Move materials with PIV equipment as needed.
• Opportunity to advance into an operator role and develop skills.
