Job summary

Schnucks is seeking an enthusiastic team member to provide friendly, courteous service to customers in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist customers, bag purchases, and help with carrying items to vehicles/returning items to shelves as needed.

The role emphasizes consistent attendance, ability to stand for long periods, and contributing to a clean, safe store. Schnucks fosters internal advancement and offers a broad benefits package including health coverage and paid time off.

Job description

DUTIES

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management

TRAINING

Training Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Bending Stooping Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time Able to work outside in seasonal weather Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred. Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline). If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
