Job summary

Joe Patti’s Seafood in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Bagder to support busy service by bagging orders, packing items with ice, and assisting customers. You will help carry orders to vehicles, restock shelves, and keep work areas clean in a high-volume seafood setting.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift heavy items, and comfort working in cold, wet conditions around seafood. You’ll collaborate closely with cashiers and other staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Bag customers’ seafood orders
• Pack items securely (often with ice to keep seafood fresh)
• Assist customers
• Carry orders to vehicles (especially large or heavy purchases, and ESPECIALLY ELDERLY)
• Maintain workflow (keep bagging stations stocked with bags, ice, and supplies)
• Assist with running/passing orders to and from Steam window when necessary
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays
• Help unload deliveries or transport boxes (can be heavy)
• Keep work areas clean and sanitary (important in seafood handling)
• Dispose of trash, boxes, and waste properly
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Standing for long periods
• Lifting (often up to ~50 + lbs., based on similar roles)
• Working in cold/wet environments (ice, dry ice + seafood handling)
• High customer volume (it’s a well-known seafood destination)
• Team-oriented—you’ll work closely with cashiers, fish cutters, and other staff

• Can move quickly under pressure

Core Duties

• Bag customers’ seafood orders * Pack items securely (often with ice to keep seafood fresh)
• Assist customers
• Do cooler pickups anytime you see a customer with one or hear a call for one
• Carry orders to vehicles (especially large or heavy purchases, and ESPECIALLY ELDERLY).
• Maintain workflow
  • Keep bagging stations stocked with bags, ice, and supplies
  • Assists with running/passing orders to and from Steam window when necessary
