Job summary

Professional Business Providers Inc. seeks a Bag Jammer / Manual Encoder to keep the Burbank International Airport BHS running smoothly, clearing bag jams and encoding untagged bags at manual stations.

You will collaborate with maintenance, control room, and airline staff to ensure safe, accurate baggage processing in compliance with airport procedures. A strong safety mindset and ability to work in shift-based roles are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Prior experience in airport, warehouse, or industrial conveyor environments is preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and safe work practices around automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BHS areas for jams or interruptions and clear them safely and efficiently.
• Operate manual encoding stations to input baggage tag information when needed.
• Communicate system status and issues to control room and operations staff.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Inspect conveyors, diverters, and scanners for debris and obstructions.
