Job summary

Colonial Group in New York is seeking a Bag Room Agent to support baggage handling operations and assist in loading and unloading passengers' checked baggage. You will follow TSA and airport procedures to ensure accuracy and safety while coordinating with flight crews.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and experience operating equipment such as a tug and belt loader. You will help maintain weight and balance data and uphold safety standards across all tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift baggage up to 70 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods and work in all weather conditions.
• Must pass SIDA airport and training tests.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and FAA airport identifications.
• Must perform duties with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Lift baggage or cargo weighing up to 70lbs during loading/unloading.
• Load/unload 100+ items per aircraft.
• Operate motorized equipment (Tug, Belt Loader).
• Read and interpret baggage tags, load sheets, and labels.
• Direct traffic and ensure safe handling of baggage and cargo.
