Job summary

Symbrant Aviation Services is seeking a Baggage Handling System Jammer to maintain uninterrupted baggage flow in a fast-paced airport environment. You will identify, clear, and prevent jams, observe system conditions, and report issues to control room or supervisors.

This is a hands-on, safety-sensitive role with shifts based on operational need. You will work closely with control room operators, mechanics, and supervisors to ensure timely jam resolution and safe restart of conveyors.

Qualifications

• Able to stand, walk, bend, lift as part of a physically active role.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
• Demonstrates strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Able to follow procedures and safety instructions precisely.
• Clear verbal communication skills for reporting and handoffs.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor baggage handling conveyor systems for jams or obstructions.
• Safely clear baggage jams to restore system flow.
• Respond to dispatches from control room or supervisors.
• Ensure areas are safe before restarting system flow.
• Observe and report recurring jams or system irregularities.
• Communicate findings to supervisors, mechanics, or control room staff.
• Assist in identifying trends or repeat problem areas.
