Join to apply for the BAG Production Technician role at Linde

Linde is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Technician to join the team responsible for our air separation processes. This role demands strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and dependability while working effectively within a team-oriented environment. As a Production Technician, you will oversee critical plant operations, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, and ensure the facility runs safely and efficiently. This position follows a day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday), includes rotating on-call duties, and reports directly to facility management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Adhering to all company safety and environmental policies.
  2. Starting and shutting down equipment and processes.
  3. Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant processes within operating parameters.
  4. Performing valve line-ups correctly.
  5. Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out procedures.
  6. Issuing Permit-to-Work Permits prior to maintenance activities.
  7. Using sound professional judgment to operate the facility safely, dependably, and efficiently.
  8. Developing and training personal procedures with other employees.
  9. Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers.
  10. Performing electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  11. Performing instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs.
  12. Calibrating and troubleshooting analyzers.
  13. Executing pipeline locates.
  14. Completing other duties as assigned.

The Production Technician must be capable of basic troubleshooting of process, electrical, and instrumentation issues, and recognize when to escalate matters to more experienced specialists.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. 2+ years of Production Operations experience or an associate’s degree with previous internship in Plant Operations.
  3. Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
  4. Working knowledge of computers and common applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  5. Proficiency with hand tools, meters, and calibration equipment.
  6. Knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.
  7. Ability to climb ladders and steps, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights.
  8. Availability for on-call work as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  2. Strong electrical troubleshooting background highly preferred.
