Job Title: Bag Press Operator

Salary: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour

Job Summary

Responsible for setting up and operating bag presses efficiently. Key duties include reading job orders, machine setup, quality monitoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Essential Duties
  1. Read and interpret job orders to set up machinery accordingly.
  2. Monitor print quality at regular intervals.
  3. Record and scan documentation accurately.
  4. Communicate non-conformance issues to supervision.
  5. Operate machinery at acceptable speeds and scrap levels.
  6. Perform changeovers and basic machine adjustments.
  7. Navigate and use the Autocount system proficiently.
  8. Maintain a clean work area and follow safety protocols.
  9. Assist with troubleshooting mechanical or process control problems.
  10. Follow instructions from department leads and supervisors.
  11. Differentiate between various colors and shades for quality control.
  12. Cross-train on other machinery when asked.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to pass safety and skills tests, including color charts, math, and vocabulary.
  • Authorized to perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Proficient in basic math, reading a ruler, and distinguishing colors.
  • Basic computer navigation skills.
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
Work Environment

Vibration from machinery, noise requiring PPE such as ear plugs or muffs. Must be able to see fine details and work safely in a manufacturing setting.
