Job summary

Sealed Air in Keyser, West Virginia is seeking a dedicated bag converting operator for the night shift. You will operate converting equipment, perform quality checks, and adjust settings to meet customer specifications and production targets.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, basic measurement skills, and good mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Night shift includes a $1.00 premium and the opportunity to contribute to a safe, efficient production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate bag converting equipment and perform quality checks per ISO 9001:2008 to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Make minor machine adjustments to maintain product quality and uptime.
• Procure operating supplies and provide production data to track run time and labor distribution.
• Assist setup during changeovers to reduce downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety rules.
• Train new operators to increase departmental flexibility and expertise.
• Follow all prescribed safety procedures and standards.

Shift Premium Amount: $1.00

Pay Rate: $19.00

Operate a variety of bag converting equipment and perform minor operating adjustments to produce a quality product to stock or custom work order specifications.

Principal Accountabilities

• Operate bag converting equipment and perform quality checking procedures required by ISO 9001:2008 standards to produce a quality product to stock or custom work order specifications
• Perform minor machine adjustments including startup of machine to maintain product quality and uptime
• Procure operating supplies and provide production data to maintain run time and account for labor distribution
• Assist setup person during setup to decrease downtime
• Maintain workstation housekeeping to provide a safe, clean work environment
• Train new operators to increase departmental flexibility and expertise
• Follow all prescribed or standard safety rules
