Zusammenfassung

ProAmpac is seeking a Converting Assistant in the Bags Department. You will inspect raw materials, collect and label finished bags, and troubleshoot production issues. You’ll assist with machine changeovers and load new rolls, while performing quality tests to ensure product specifications are met.

The role offers a path to advance into an operator role with opportunities to develop machine operation, troubleshooting, and production skills, on a rotating days/nights schedule.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with converting or robot equipment a plus.
• Basic mechanical and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and team-focused attitude.

Aufgaben

• Inspect raw materials to ensure quality standards and specifications.
• Collect, package, and label finished bags/gaylords per requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues with materials and equipment.
• Assist in machine changeovers and loading new rolls of material.
• Conduct quality inspections and tests on finished bags (drop, seal, dimensions).
• Operate PIV equipment to move materials safely.
• Provide a growth path into an operator role with skill development.

Your Role: Converting Assistants - Bags Department

• Inspect raw materials to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Collect, package, and properly label finished bags/gaylords according to production and customer requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues, including material inconsistencies and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in machine changeovers for different production runs, including loading and preparing new rolls of material.
• Perform quality inspections and testing on finished bags, including drop testing, seal integrity testing, and dimensional checks to ensure products meet established quality and customer specifications.
• Operate PIV equipment as needed to safely move raw materials, finished goods, and other production materials throughout the work area.
• Provides a pathway for advancement into an operator role, with opportunities to develop machine operation, troubleshooting, quality, and production skills.

2, 2, 3 rotating schedule between days and nights - rotation every two weeks.
