Job summary

Elite Line Services is seeking a Bag Jammer in Honolulu, HI to assist in clearing jams and supporting maintenance on the baggage handling system. The role requires ability to work weekends/holidays and a strong safety mindset.

Position is with DSUS division, operating on site at the airport environment. Prior airport experience is a plus, and successful candidates will complete mandatory safety training and adhere to all company policies.

Overview

Under minimal direction, is responsible for responding to and correction of fault conditions within the BHS System.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assists in clearing Jams from the baggage handling system
• Assists Technicians or other personnel with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning and greasing.
• Completes all safety training as assigned by the Company.
• Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous work experience in an Airport environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works in all areas located on Airport property. May be around dust, dirt, moving machinery, temperature changes, heights and noise levels below OSHA minimum requirements. Use of PPE is required.
