Job Description

The Backyard Hand/Heavy Equipment Operator position is responsible for supporting oilfield drilling operations by assisting with mix off, operating heavy equipment, and performing other essential duties to ensure the backyard runs smoothly and remains clean.

This position is diverse and may vary daily. The Backyard Hand/Heavy Equipment Operator works with heavy equipment and is responsible for maintaining a clean backyard. Occasionally, they will assist with solids control. This role requires the ability to work in all types of inclement and extreme weather conditions.

This position also requires a commitment to understanding and exhibiting Jennmar’s Core Values, following safety rules, federal and state laws and regulations, and representing the company professionally and courteously at all times.

Role and Responsibilities

• Mix off drill cuttings using heavy equipment
• Perform general cleanup duties on well site locations and/or at the facility
• Operate high-pressure power washing equipment
• Set well equipment at well locations
• Load/unload trucks
• Maintain the ground and buildings at the site location
• Assemble or repair equipment using hand and power tools
• Operate telehandlers, skid steers, or other moving or lifting equipment
• Contribute to a company-wide culture that prioritizes safety
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and possess a valid driver's license
• Prior experience in Backyard/Solids Control
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, telehandlers, and skid steers
• Successful completion of company drug/alcohol screening and background check
• Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced field environment in all weather conditions, including noisy settings
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift heavy materials, carry, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, bend repeatedly, crawl, and reach high and low
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 basis as needed
