Job summary

PF Changs China Bistro in Orland Park, IL is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time hourly Backwaiters. The Backwaiter supports restaurant operations by delivering food promptly, assisting with dining room cleanliness, and maintaining service stations.

No prior experience required; training provided. You must be at least 18 and may need a Food Handler’s Card. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for advancement and access to comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess or obtain a Food Handler’s Card, where applicable.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests efficiently and meet requests.
• Monitor expo line, run trays for dine-in, assist guests with questions.
• Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors per standards.
• Retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Restock and clean service stations as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment (coffee/iced tea machines, POS).
• Interact courteously with guests and notify managers of concerns.
• Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
• Assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packaging takeout orders when necessary.
• Support beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service when required.
