Job summary

Pulse Primary Care in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive medical care under the supervision of a Medical Director. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing both acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on backup provider coverage for the Fort Worth office.

The position supports onsite coverage when needed and may include telehealth when in-person coverage is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Texas NP or PA license.
• Board certification as NP or PA.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, or family medicine.
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Flexible availability for short-term or as-needed coverage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Prescribe medications and establish treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications and preventive care.
• Maintain complete and timely EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
• Provide PRN coverage due to PTO, illness, and other provider absences.
• Provide onsite coverage whenever available.
• Provide telehealth services when appropriate and approved.
