Job summary

A licensed Pathologist is sought to serve as part-time Center Medical Director for our plasma collection facility in Tallahassee, Florida. You will provide essential clinical oversight, review lab quality control, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Hours are approximately 2 per month with highly flexible scheduling within center operating hours. This role suits practicing or retired medical professionals seeking minimal-time commitment while maintaining professional engagement in the plasma

Qualifications

• Medical degree in Pathology and board certification where applicable.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory oversight as Medical/Laboratory Director to meet CLIA, FDA, and state requirements.
• Review monthly laboratory quality control logs and proficiency testing.
• Oversee donor suitability reviews and staff certification training.

You will provide essential clinical oversight, review laboratory quality control, and ensure regulatory compliance for our plasma collection facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Oversight: Serve as the designated Medical/Laboratory Director to satisfy CLIA, FDA, and state regulations.
• Quality Review: Conduct monthly reviews of center laboratory quality control logs, proficiency testing, and center safety protocols.
• Donor & Staff Support: Review complex donor suitability cases, oversee medical staff training certifications, and address any infrequent adverse event reports.
• Audit Preparation: Ensure the center remains audit-ready for internal, federal, and state regulatory inspections.

Qualifications & Education:

• Education: Medical Degree Pathology.
• Licensure: Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of operation.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours: Approximately 2 hours per month total.
• Flexibility: Work hours are highly flexible. Monthly hours can be scheduled at your convenience during center operational hours to fit your existing medical practice or personal schedule.
