Position:
  • Professional backup dog walker with the ability to walk up to three dogs at one time, transport up to three dogs, and manage up to five dogs off-leash in a private fenced area.

  • Some weeks there might not be any work available.
  • We service the communities of Deerfield, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Kenilworth, Northbrook, Wilmette, and Winnetka.
  • Holidays off.
  • All staff members are W2 employees.

  • Work assigned will be based on staffing levels, performance, and client demand.
Reimbursements/Time Off:

  • All materials provided (leashes, dog waste bags, supplies to convert a car for transport of dogs)
  • Paid Time Off (sick leave and/or scheduled)
Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and engaging dog walking services from client residences, performing group walks of up to three dogs for durations of 30/45/60 minutes.

  • An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate who understands the importance of canine enrichment and proper socialization.
  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management.
  • Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important. We have a fantastic paid training program.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their professional experience with dogs. Many of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
