Job summary

Infosys Limited in the United States seeks an Engineering Consultant 2 to drive design, development and integration of enterprise applications using Java, React/Angular, AWS and Backstage portal concepts. You’ll translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

You will own end-to-end delivery from design through testing and production support, documenting results and contributing to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Requires experience designing, customizing, and maintaining Backstage-based developer portals with plugin development and software catalog management.
• Strong experience building enterprise apps, REST APIs, and microservices using Java and related frameworks.
• Proficiency in React & Angular for modern, responsive web UIs.
• Experience with AWS cloud services for design, deployment, and support of cloud-native apps.
• Involvement across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Hands-on full-stack design, development and maintenance of enterprise apps.
• Ability to design scalable, secure software aligned with business needs.
• Experience with enterprise app servers and relational/non-relational DBs.
• Familiarity with software engineering practices, design patterns, code reviews and documentation.
• Experience implementing automated testing and quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specs.
• Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support sketches and models.
• Participate in iterative engineering cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate feedback.
• Develop and refine solution specs and perform validations, including simulations.
• Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and feedback from cross-functional teams.
• Undertake technical integration, ensure system functionality, resolve interoperability issues.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions.
