Job summary

TJ Maxx in Sumter, SC is hiring a store associate to support receiving, merchandising, and customer service. You’ll help ensure a clean, organized sales floor and a positive shopping experience for every guest.

The role requires a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift and move merchandise. Prior retail and leadership experience is preferred, and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards
• Maintain clean and organized store and backroom
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Ensure accurate tagging, hanging, and coding of merchandise
• Collaborate with management to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
• Support stock rotation, shrink reduction initiatives, and safety standards
