Job description

Summary

Responsible for supporting store receiving and inventory operations at the Valley Fair location. Processes incoming shipments, inspects merchandise for accuracy and quality, and prepares items for the sales floor and storage. Works closely with store teams to maintain organized backroom operations and timely stock replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload shipments; verify counts and inspect merchandise for damage.
• Sort, label, and stage merchandise for distribution to the sales floor or storage.
• Update inventory records and process receiving paperwork accurately.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized backroom and stockroom area and communicate discrepancies to management.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail receiving, stockroom, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform sustained physical tasks.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory record keeping.
• Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
