Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a dependable Backhoe/Broom Operator to support construction, paving, and roadway maintenance. The role involves excavating, trenching, material handling, and sweeping operations with emphasis on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have experience with heavy equipment in construction, a strong safety record, and the ability to work collaboratively with crews. Overtime and travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating backhoe equipment.
• Experience operating construction sweepers or power broom equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate backhoe and broom equipment for construction and paving projects.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and material handling tasks.
• Operate power broom to clean roads, paving surfaces, shoulders, and construction areas.
• Read project plans and follow supervisor instructions; conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
