Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Backhoe Operator in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining backhoes for excavation and trenching tasks.
• Knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, and underground utility installation techniques.
• Strong commitment to safety and strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and at different job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a backhoe with precision following project plans and specifications.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform trenching and excavation tasks for pipe installation with proper depth and alignment.
• Handle pipes and materials, positioning them for installation.
• Ensure excavation work meets project standards and blueprints.
• Collaborate with the pipe crew and foreman to coordinate activities and achieve goals.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors about progress and issues.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues to the maintenance department.
• Maintain records including daily inspections and work logs.
• Identify and address operational challenges during excavation work.
