Job summary

Electrolux is seeking an Assembly support teammate for the Backguards Utility-1st Shift in Springfield, TN. The role runs from 4:00am to 1:30pm as scheduling requires, supporting the production line to deliver quality products on time.

The candidate will assist the supervisor with training, backfilling for absenteeism, and changeovers, while ensuring safety, cost, quality, and delivery standards are met. Physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Assessed and Standard Maintained in 4 jobs in current zone.
• Clear and concise English communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to work with insulation.
• Ability to use air tools and hand tools required for the position.
• Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
• Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provides support throughout the Assembly department to produce high-quality products on time.
• Assists supervisor in training associates and follow-up on quality issues; backfill for absenteeism; assist changeovers.
• Support Assembly department areas to meet Electrolux standards for safety, cost, quality and delivery.
• Maintain proactive problem solving to prevent accidents and quality issues.
• Follow and improve workstation details standards for the assigned area.
• Log non-essential items using the Red Tag Log system.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work environment following EMS Principles.
• Assist in Team Board assignments.

You will be based in our Springfield, TN location. This shift will start at 4:00am and end 1:30pm depending on the production Schedule. This role supports the production line and will follow productions needs.

Your main tasks:

• Provides support throughout the Assembly department in producing the highest quality products, on time, that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Assists supervisor in training of associates and follow-up of quality related issues. Back fill for absenteeism. Assist C.A. with changeovers.
• Provide support throughout the Assembly department area zones ensuring production meets or exceeds Electrolux standards in safety, cost, quality and delivery.
• Maintain a proactive approach with problem solving to prevent accidents and quality issues.
• Follow and improve workstation job details standards for assigned area.


• Follow process to log non-essential items utilizing Red Tag Log system.


• Maintain an organized and efficient work environment utilizing the EMS Principles


• Assist in Team Board assignments

Qualifications:

• Must be “Assessed and Standard Maintained” (3/4 boxes filled) in 4 (four) jobs in current zone


• Communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing.


• Able to read and write English.


• Able to work with insulation.


• Able to use air tools, hand tools necessary to perform position.


• Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.


• Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis


• Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.


• Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending


• Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet
