Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking an RN for Labor and Delivery backfill at SAMC, 12-hour shifts (7:00P-7:00A). The unit features LDR/OB with 72 staff and 12 LDR beds plus antepartum, OBED and ORs.

Requires High Risk OB experience, CST certification, and Advanced EFM/AWHONN certification; ACLS, NRP, BLS preferred. Weekends include 4 shifts per period. This backfill position offers a dynamic 2nd-floor SAMC unit with Alaris pumps, Meditech EMR, and a strong team culture; candidates should be highly

Qualifications

• CST certification is required.
• At least 2 years' experience in High Risk OB (3 years preferred for RN).
• Current certification in Advanced EFM/ AWHONN Intermediate EFM.

Responsibilities

• C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries including C-section SVD.
• Scheduled and unscheduled emergent C-Hysterectomy.
• Massive Transfusion protocols as part of HR OB.

• Number of Beds LDR 12 beds, 5 Ante Partum Beds, 4 OBED, 3 OR Rooms
• Number of Staff 72 (nursing, CST, and schedulers)
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift (1 charge, 10 RN, 2 CST days, 1 scheduler)
  • Night Shift - (1 charge, 10 RN, 1 CST night, 1 scheduler)
• Patient Ratios 1:2 and 1:1 with transition and acuity based
• Type of equipment Alaris Pumps, CADD epidural pumps
• EMR CPN and Meditech
• Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) Y

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs Certified Surgical Techs)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Certification CST
• At least 2 years' experience in High Risk OB
• Nurses with at least 3 years experiences in High Risk OB
• Current certification in Advance EFM/ AWHONN Intermediate EFM

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• High Risk OB including Massive transfusion
• Experience with PASD (placenta accrete spectrum disorders)

• C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries with both c-section SVD
• Scheduled and nonscheduled emergent C-Hysterectomy
• Massive Transfusion
