Job summary

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for the Concerto MR platform. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices to deliver robust RESTful APIs within an Agile team in a contract capacity.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product owners, QA, and other engineers, with a focus on reliable CI/CD processes and production support. Healthcare/regulatory context is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Cloud-native application development experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated software environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting the Concerto MR platform.
• Build and enhance Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Collaborate with product owners, software engineers, and QA professionals to define and deliver software solutions.
• Participate in application architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design activities.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support efforts.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, application reliability, and software quality improvements.
• Assist with identifying and implementing best practices for backend development and system integration.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
