Job summary

Korn Ferry in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a hands-on Back-end Java Developer to join a team building a large-scale application that automates connectivity, networking controls, security validation, and provisioning. You will focus on Core Java, Spring Boot, micro-services, AWS and Terraform.

Responsibilities include designing and enhancing back-end applications, deploying cloud-based services in AWS (ECS, EC2, Lambda, Aurora, SQS/SNS), and managing Terraform-based infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focusing on backend Java development.

• Build new functionality for a large-scale platform that automates application connectivity, networking controls, policy validation, security, and provisioning.

• Manage and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Participate across the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, CI/CD, resiliency, security, and production support.
• Work within a collaborative engineering team as the platform expands across AWS and additional cloud environments.

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Back-end Java Developer to join a team building a large-scale application that automates application connectivity, networking controls, security validation, and provisioning. This is a hands-on backend engineering role with a strong focus on Core Java, Spring Boot, micro-services, AWS, and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance back-end applications and micro services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Build new functionality for a large-scale platform that automates application connectivity, networking controls, policy validation, security, and provisioning.

Skills Required

• Strong hands-on Core Java development and software design experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on AWS development experience, ideally including ECS, EC2, Lambda, Aurora, SQS/SNS, and Security Groups.
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, cloud development, resiliency, and security.
• Experience with cloud networking, firewalls, connectivity, or AWS Security Groups is a plus.

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend Java development.
