Job summary

IAA Holdings, LLC (IAA), a Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers company, seeks a software engineer to build backend services with C#/.NET and contribute to microservices migration in a hybrid Westchester, IL setting.

You'll develop RESTful APIs, work with Azure Functions, and implement secure OAuth2/JWT (Entra ID) authentication, while collaborating with frontend teams on React or Vue interfaces and maintaining strong unit test coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core / modern .NET and building backend APIs.
• Practical experience with microservices and RESTful web services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure including Azure Functions and at least one of App Services / cloud hosting / Azure-native integrations.
• Experience with SQL Server and writing/debugging performant queries.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT and SSO (Entra ID) integration.
• Experience writing unit tests and contributing to quality-focused engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using C# and modern .NET.
• Contribute to microservices-based systems and migration from monolith to microservices.
• Develop and maintain serverless components using Azure Functions.
• Implement data access with SQL Server and Cosmos DB/Blob Storage.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web applications.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization with OAuth2/JWT (Entra ID).
• Collaborate with frontend teams and contribute to UI code (React/Vue).
• Write unit tests and improve test coverage.
